 It's been a pleasure today to meet the journalist Marjut Revilä and share with her an interesting talk and few drinks in a windy beautiful cafè.
She traveled a lot in her life and among many good things, she said that to truly understand and know a place, what you have to do is go inside the houses, to feel the atmosphere, breath the everyday life, share with locals food and language and culture.. 
I totally agree and that is one of the reasons why I love couchsurfing and I don't like being "a turist".

In the Sibelius park / Sibeliuspuisto, there's a sculpture by Elia Hiltunen dedicated to the Finnish composer Johan Sibelius. 
It reminds an huge pipe organ and it's supposed to produce sounds with the wind blowing on its pipes.

Finnish people are incredibly caring: if they notice you at the corner of the street checking a map, they suddenly ask you if you need some help :)

E' stato un vero piacere oggi conoscere la giornalista Marjut Revilä e condividere con lei un paio di drink e una piacevole chiacchierata.
Nella sua vita ha molto viaggiato e ha condiviso con noi alcuni aneddoti e molte informazioni interessanti. Tra tutte le cose, però, citerò una che mi ha particolarmente colpito e che condivido appieno. Ha detto che viaggiando, ciò che è essenziale è vedere l'interno delle case, per respirare l'atmosfera quotidiana, per condividere con i locali cibo, cultura e lingue.
Non posso che essere totalmente d'accordo, sostenendo tra l'altro il couchsurfing per la medesima ragione e evitando il classico turismo anonimo che non prevede il contatto con il reale paese straniero.

Nel parco Sibeliuspuisto si trova una scultura fatta nel 1967 Elia Hiltunen, dedicata al compositore finlandese Johan Sibelius. 
Si ispira a un organo e quando il vento soffia tra le sue canne, produce dei suoni.

I Finlandesi sono estremamente gentili: non appena ti vedono al bordo della strada nell'atto di controllare una cartina, offrono subito il loro aiuto.

Per sopravvivere alla capitale finlandese e ai suoi prezzi allucinati, oggi abbiamo fatto in casa delle belle piadine italo-finlandesi.

Ultima nota: mentre ovunque e pure in Italia si lamenta un clima autunnale... oggi abbiamo sfiorato i 33 gradi. Stentiamo a crederci.
