Considerazione genericamente negativa di oggi
che si dica anche qualcosa di negativo di questa civile e corretta Finlandia.
Abbiamo
fatto una riflessione su quello che vediamo da un po' di tempo attorno a
noi e che ci ha ancor più colpito oggi, passando a fianco all'ennesimo
festival estivo.
Parliamo di senso civico e nello specifico di come in particolare la nuove generazioni non siano educate al rispetto e alla moderazione.
Come già abbiamo raccontato, è comune qui abbandonare per strada, nei parchi, pressoché ovunque, lattine e bottiglie vuote (o semivuote). Vogliamo credere che sia perché c'è il vuoto a rendere. Ma non vengono gettate in giro solo vuoti recuperabili: ogni tipo di immondizia viene dispersa nell'ambiente con noncuranza. Viene quindi da pensare che sia diventata una norma e un'abitudine, come se fosse del tutto lecito questo comportamento incivile. Siccome in Italia troneggia il luogo comune della Scandinavia pulita e civilizzata, mai avremmo pensato di dover spezzare una lancia in favore del nostro Paese, che per lo meno non è così sfacciato.

rimasti colpiti dal comportamento menefreghista di generazioni non
educate al rispetto, anzi abituate al consumismo sfrenato, che lanciano
per le strade lattine, abbandonano sacchetti di snack semipieni sul
marciapiede, lasciano sui prati i resti del loro picnic..
Anche l'attenzione al reciclo lascia desiderare, non è presente alcun cassonetto per la raccolta differenziata in città, nemmeno in centro, ma sono presenti nei cortili condominiali, in pessime condizioni.

Essere
uno stato ricco e non sovrappopolato non esonera dall'etica e dal
rendersi conto di quello che accade nel resto del mondo, anzi, il buon
esempio dovrebbe partire da questi Paesi.

Negative reflection today

We talked a lot about something that we see everyday around us and that today particularly shocked us. There's another summer Festival right now, and it made us think more deeply about common ethical code and public spirit, especially for the new generations.
As we already told, it's pretty normal here to leave empty or semi-empty cans and bottles in the streets, in the parks, almost everywhere actually. We want to believe that they do so, because of the returnable bottles/cans. But not only these bottles and cans are scattered around: they threw any kind of rubbish in the environment, with actual casualness. It seems like here this is the rule, the routine, like if this uncivilized behaviour was perfectly licit.
In Italy we have this huge commonplace of the "clean and perfect Scandinavia", so now it's weird to us to admit there's finally something better in our full-of-problems country. We've been shocked by the self-centered and disrespectful behaviour of young generations, which are used to an uncontrolled consumerism, which are throwing cans in the streets, leaving semi-full chips packets on the sidewalks and their picnic rubbish on the grass..
Also the recycling is not the best ever. There're no public garbage bins for the recycle in the city, just some in the private courtyards.
Being a rich and not overpopulated State does not dismiss from ethical duties and from global awareness: on the contrary, good example should come from country like this one.
